The Medical Community website was founded in 2007 by Students of Wockhardt Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore, India. Their goal was to provide the medical community a social networking home similar to mySpace or Facebook or Orkut but targeted specifically for Medical Students and Doctors.

What is the purpose of this site?
The vision of the founders was to provide an online space where Medical Students and Doctors could gather to share and collaborate their information and ideas about medicine, especialy Cardiology.

Why did the founders want to start such a site?
Being a students of medicine, they understands how limited are the options available to personals in the diverse medical field and belonging to different parts of the world to communicate through a common platform.
